WHO is InnerQuest?

InnerQuest Collective brings together a passionate team of clinicians, educators, artists, mentors, and advocates—all rooted in Colorado Springs and united by a shared belief in restorative healing, second chances, and the transformative power of personal growth.

We are a contract-based reentry and vocational development program designed specifically for justice-involved youth and young adults, ages 15 to 20, who are transitioning out of Colorado’s Division of Youth Services (DYS).

At InnerQuest, your most important job is working on yourself—and we value that so highly that we pay students to do it. By contracting students in ways that honor their lived experiences, we remove barriers like background checks and job market challenges, allowing full focus on growth and rehabilitation.

Participants engage in daily experiential therapy, neurofeedback, Substance Use Disorder counseling, and team-based vocational learning designed to build regulation, skills, and purpose. Our trauma-responsive, research-backed approach—developed since 2019 with youth and adults across DYS and the Department of Corrections—proves that lasting freedom begins within.

Programs run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with 8–12 month cohorts followed by continued outcome tracking and support. We are currently accepting applications for our first and second cohorts, each limited to 15 participants.

If you’re ready to begin your next chapter—or supporting someone who is—we’d love to connect.

Core Programming

Therapeutic Framework

At the heart of InnerQuest is a trauma-informed, therapeutic framework designed to promote healing, resilience, and long-term transformation. Each component is built to strengthen emotional regulation, foster connection, and support identity development through real-world experience and guided self-work through individual and group contexts.

Wilderness Expeditions
Immersive outdoor experiences are at the heart of InnerQuest, fostering confidence, healing, and self-reliance through nature-based therapy. Rooted in the power of wilderness and experiential learning, our approach blends team-building, personal challenge, and reflective practice to help youth reconnect with themselves, others, and the natural world. These transformative experiences offer a path to emotional growth, resilience, and lasting change.

Trade &Vocational Training

Hands-on skill-building in high-demand trades, with a strong emphasis on real-world experience, industry standards, and long-term employability. Youth gain practical training and mentorship in fields such as:

  • Barbering

  • Electrical Work

  • HVAC

  • General Construction

  • Culinary Arts

Education
Programs designed to support personal growth, creativity, and lifelong success:

  • Music & Mixed Media – Audio production, songwriting, and digital storytelling

  • Fitness & Wellness – Movement-based healing, mental health, and holistic care

  • Nutrition – Practical lessons in healthy eating and mindful meal planning

  • Financial Literacy – Budgeting, saving, and building financial independence

Our contract-based model allows participants to begin earning income immediately after release—addressing the number one need reported by justice-involved youth: financial stability. Participants can work either part time or full-times while earning above minimum wage as they invest in themselves and their future.

InnerQuest is a launchpad for life beyond detention—equipping youth with the tools, community, and opportunities to thrive.
